Whether you're enjoying a box of freshly popped popcorn as you stroll down Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom or sharing a bucket of popcorn while waiting to watch a Disney parade. chances are popcorn is a favorite of yours too.Disney World's freshly popped popcorn, found at a variety of outdoor kiosks throughout the Disney World theme parks, has long been gluten free, dairy free, and even vegan. It used to be made with Orville Redenbacher's popcorn, and back in fall 2015, it was announced that Pop Secret would become the new popcorn brand for all freshly made popcorn at the Disney Parks.Thankfully, despite the popcorn brand change, the freshly made popcorn at Disney is still gluten free, dairy free, and vegan.(Note: This does not apply to pre-packaged and pre-prepared popcorn or the flavored popcorn at Epcot. Always double-check ingredients to confirm if these types of popcorn are safe for your special dietary need). I recently stopped by an outdoor kiosk at the Magic Kingdom to check out the current ingredients binder and to take photos of the ingredients for you the readers.As you can see, the popcorn oil does not contain any dairy, but is canola oil and coconut oil based. Despite this, you'd swear that the Disney popcorn was filled with butter. It tastes really buttery and rich without all the dairy containing ingredients.The popcorn salt and popcorn are simple ingredients and make the perfect base for Disney's classic freshly popped popcorn.So there you have it.
